Our Story

I grew up in small town Minnesota and was a college track athlete in the artillery division. I've been an Iowan since 2008 and have lived in Van Meter since 2018. My wife Tona and I have four great kids, two spoiled dogs, and a cat who tolerates us. Away from work, you'll find me chasing my kids' sports, running the grill, getting in a morning workout, or spending time outdoors. I also enjoy a good IPA or rye.

If you don't naturally enjoy accounting or finances, I can relate. I took one accounting class as an undergrad and changed majors to avoid taking a second one. Ten years later I found myself back where I left off, with a good perspective on how to make the dollars and cents make sense to everyone else. As both an Investment Adviser and CPA, I have a complete view of investments and taxes which saves clients the legwork of having to communicate between offices.

I've spent almost 20 years in various corporate financial roles in financial modeling, forecasting, budgets, and strategy. This gives me a practical and effective approach to finances and investing.
